Kurt Aumann, CAI, ATS
CEO
Kurt Aumann grew up in the auction industry and graduated from auction school in 1982 at which time he became employed by Aumann Auction Inc. In 1995, he became Vice President and CEO of Aumann Auctions Inc., located in Nokomis, Illinois. He has also been a member of the National Auctioneers Association for over 16 years. Kurt has always been self employed in the auction industry but has been actively involved in consulting other industries about the auction profession for several years. He has consulted with several online auction companies regarding software development and performance. He has served as President of the Illinois State Auctioneers Association. He has also served on several boards including the National Auctioneers Association and currently sits on the National Auctioneer Association Education Institute. He has instructed at Lincoln Land Community College, the Certified Auctioneers Institute as well as numerous seminars and workshops across the country. Kurt is involved in several community efforts including serving on the Hillsboro Area Hospital Board and the Fusion Health & Fitness Board, a non-profit community fitness center. He is an avid reader and has written two books himself. He is a member of the Illinois, Wisconsin, and Indiana Auctioneers Associations and conducts approximately 100 auctions per year.

Nelson Aumann graduated from Fort Smith Auction School in Fort Smith, Arkansas in July of 1962, and in 1983 he graduated from the NAA. He is a past president of the Illinois Sate Auctioneers Association. In 2004 Nelson was inducted into the Illinois Sate Auctioneers Hall of Fame.
Nelson has a proven and impressive track record. He has conducted or worked over 5000 auctions in 36 states since 1962. Also, he has been on several NAA committees and in 2006 he was a judge for the NAA international bid calling contest. He is a realtor and holds the realtor GRI designation. His specialty is Real Estate Auctions.

Karen Aumann, Realtor
Secretary/Treasurer
Karen holds the positions of Secretary/Treasurer and head cashier at Aumann Auctions, Inc. She works as lead clerk at auctions, executes the monetary book keeping for auction day and handles seller reports after the auction. Karen also holds licenses as a real estate broker, and she assists our auctioneers in conducting open houses and closings. She and her husband Nelson travel all over the country with Aumann Auctions, Inc., and Karen’s friendly face is always amongst the first to greet you. Karen’s interests include watching their horse race at the track, having occasionally fun at the casino, attending Professional Bull Riding Association events and spending time with her grandchildren.
Jodi Reynolds
COO
Jodi works hard to keep the office operations running smoothly. She works with auction managers to establish work crews and tend to auction day details. Jodi often works as cashier or staffs our information booth on auction day. She assists bidders and sellers throughout the auction process. Jodi is a member of the NAA and is currently enrolled in the CAI program. Jodi resides in rural Nokomis with her husband Kris and their four sons, Kaden, Kolin, Kyle and Konnor. She enjoys time with her family, scrapbooking and traveling.
Mark Sypherd, CAI
Auction Manager
Mark is one of Aumann Auctions, Inc.’s experts on farm toys. Mark’s specialties also include antique tractors, coins, vintage toys and firearms. Mark assists at bid calling and joins the ground crew on auction day. He travels throughout the country to assess the status of auctions and work on auction sites. Becky Carter, CAI, CES, Realtor

Becky Carter has been a long time fan of auctions and enjoys helping Sellers liquidate both real estate and personal property by utilizing the auction method of marketing. Becky also enjoys working with Buyers and aiding them in locating the perfect piece of property for them or the “just right” item found at a personal property auction.
Becky holds an Illinois Auctioneer’s license and an Illinois Realtor’s license.
When not participating in auctions, Becky sits on two boards that give back to the community. Becky serves as the President of the Pana Educational Foundation for the Pana CUSD #8 and also serves as President of the Faith in Action board. Both groups are very active in the community. The Educational Foundation’s purpose is to raise monies that enable the foundation to provide scholarships to students furthering their education and also help provide “extras” to both teachers and students both in and out of the classroom setting. The Faith in Action group is an organization that provides assistance to the elderly population in a tri-county area.

Colleen Yeske
Comptroller
As Aumann Auctions, Inc. comptroller, Colleen works with our auction managers and marketing manager. She resides in rural Nokomis with her husband Dustin and their two children, Ciara and Dylan. Her hobbies include scrapbooking and spending time outdoors with her family.

Terry's job description includes scheduling appraisal appointments, gathering data for and typing appraisals, listing and showing real estate properties and maintaining the Aumann Realty website and files.
Terry and her husband are the parents of three children and currently have three amazing grandchildren in their lives.
Her leisure time includes hanging out with family and friends, reading, playing trivia games, and enjoying the outdoors.

Ellen Crowe
Administrative Assistant
Ellen's friendly voice greets you when you call into the Aumann Auctions, Inc. offices. She helps bidders register to absentee bid and sign up for live, internet bidding. Also, Ellen tracks and answers the thousands of requests for brochures, catalogs and various other details. Ellen and her husband Terry reside in the Nokomis area and they enjoy attending St. Louis Cardinal games.
Dan Boomgarden
Director of Marketing and Media
Dan’s duties include the overall marketing for Aumann Auctions, Inc. as well as marketing, advertising and promotion for individual auctions. Dan has produced, edited and shot for Aumann’s Album, a TV show on RFD-TV and online Antique Tractor show. He is also responsible for video production for Aumann Auctions, Inc. which includes TV commercials, youtube videos and video walkthroughs of auctions.
Dan began working for Aumann Auctions in September of 2008. He graduated with a Major in Cinema & Photography and a Minor in Marketing in 2007 from Southern Illinois University in Carbondale. While at SIUC, Dan won the Richard M. Blumenberg Screenwriting Competition and The John Mercer Memorial Award.
Dan has produced several short films, including Blowing in the Wind, a documentary on wind power and Distance, a narrative road film. Dan continues to work on his own film and video projects.

Linzy Michael

Linzy received his AAS degree in Business Management from Lincoln Land Community College in 1991 and has been with Aumann Auctions since 2003. He practically grew up attending auctions with his father, the late Herschel W. Michael. Herschel was an antique furniture dealer for close to 50 years in the Nokomis area. Together they attended seemingly thousands of auctions over the years. After his passing, Linzy began working as auction setup/auction prep. He continues to do the prep work that insures a successful auction including cataloging auctions, which includes CTO (Check the Oil) Auction.
As shipping clerk, he and the rest of the shipping department wrap and pack tens of thousands of items per year with a proven track record of safe shipments. So the next time you bid online, you can rest assured that your item(s) will arrive safe and in a timely manner.
Linzy and Sonia have two girls and one boy, Jessi, Haily, and RL and live on northeast corner of Nokomis on the farm Linzy grew up on. Together they have planted and maintain an orchard consisting of 400 trees mostly peach and nectarine. They have several farm animals and a large garden. They intend to someday market pumpkins and ornamental corn.

Craig Probst

As Aumann Auctions, Inc. site manager, Craig continually searches for ways to increase the productivity and efficiency of auction setup. Craig maintains our buildings, vehicles and auction equipment, and he can operate almost any piece of machinery. Craig is also often found in the shipping department where he assists with daily shipping tasks generated by our auctions. He also travels with Aumann Auctions, Inc. as one of our ground crew members.
